For people living on the margins
Our new parish church in Busie, located in western Ghana, was founded by Bishop Francis Bomaansan of the Diocese of Wa to meet the growing demand of the Dagaaba Christian community.
After consulting with some elders from the Busie church and the wider community, as well as some youth and priests, we brainstormed on some activities that could benefit these young people.
The idea is to teach them skills so they can better take care of themselves. The new parish offers us the opportunity to engage young people through sports activities, but also to empower young girls, who will be the mothers of tomorrow. They will be able to acquire various skills, such as weaving, baking, and culinary arts, among others. Our goal is to generate benefits for the entire community by developing leaders through educational programs. We plan to build a sports center equipped with a soccer field, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as a youth gathering space. We are grateful to all those who are willing to support us in this worthy cause.
