Guinean President and President of the African Union (AU), Alpha Conde called on his peers to "redress injustices" made to Africa in a speech from the rostrum of the General Meeting of United Nations.

According to the chairman of the AU, "sustainable development, justice and good governance" will enable Africa to rise "among the largest on the international scene".
Addressing his counterparts, the head of the Guinean State was first recalled awakening of Africa "once subjugated, exploitable and malleable purposely and marginalized."

Alpha Condé also mentioned a specific continent to overcome its past and "take its destiny in hand with the firm determination to be the main actor of its development and to play its full role in international business management ".

According to the chairman of the AU, "sustainable development, justice and good governance" will enable Africa to rise "among the largest on the international scene".

A message rather optimistic about what is, unfortunately, a sad reality for many migrants, displaced people living in poverty, adversity or conflict.

Alpha Condé believes that the "backwardness of Africa is not inevitable" and that the most dynamic continent in the last decade continue to grow.
